Next week, the subject will be pork at the third annual Swine and Dine festival. Come and celebrate all things pigtastically tasty, with expert butchers and cooks descending on the Island.

The great pumpkin has arrived, or is about to. The annual Pumpkin Festival at Morning Glory Farm is on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Dozens of chefs, home cooks, hunters and fishermen hiked, drove and dropped lines all over the Island to forage ingredients for the fifth annual Local Wild Food Challenge held Monday. The winning dish included fish, oysters, watercress and pea shoots.
