What to do when the mouth is a bit too big and the burn not as efficient as it should be? Bring 1000 pounds of clay down from Vermont, plus the original oven maker himself, and start again from scratch. That’s what Flatbread pizza is planning to do this Friday when they begin rebuilding their clay oven, and they are going to need a lot of help. That much clay doesn’t mix itself.
The Chilmark Community Church is changing from soup suppers to pizza nights. The last soup supper is Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 5:30 p.m. The first pizza night is on Tuesday, March 11 at 6 p.m.

People gathered at the Chilmark Community Center Sunday morning to hear from Island agriculture and aquaculture leaders about the challenges and joys of farming. Farming is like life, said Jan Buhrman, vice president of Slow Food Martha’s Vineyard.
On Sunday, Feb. 9, at the Agricultural Hall there will be a fair trade mission table held after the West Tisbury Congregational Church service, at approximately 11 a.m.
