Dean’s List

Genevieve Flanders and Samantha Rabin have been named to the dean’s list at Hamilton College for the 2009 spring semester.

Ms. Flanders is the daughter of Joyanne and Steven Flanders of Chilmark. Ms. Rabin is the daughter of Karen and Steve Rabin of Edgartown, Both are graduates of the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is overflowing with nice animals this week. This is what usually happens at the end of the summer — it’s sad, so won’t you please stop by and adopt a beautiful cat, or a Guinea pig (we have two: Olivia and Daisy, both long-haired female, tricolored animals).

Hello, Silas

Julie and Jared Meader of Vineyard Haven announce the birth of a son, Silas Anthony Meader, born on August 14, 2009, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Silas weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces at birth. Silas is welcomed by his siblings, Hailey, Savannah and Hunter.

Abigail Arrives

Sarah and David Henry of Oak Bluffs announce the birth of a daughter, Abigail Paige Henry, born on August 14, 2009, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Abigail weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces at birth.
