River Arrives

Allie Horowitz and Noah Maxner of West Tisbury announce the birth of a daughter, River Laylee Maxner, born on July 10, 2009, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. River weighed 6 pounds, 15 3/4 ounces at birth.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard has a few nice animals who need good homes.

There’s Sophie, a Springer Spaniel cross, 5-year-old, neutered male, very well house-trained but needs to be in a home without cats.

The cats available are:

Itty Bitty, a spayed Balinese. She has had all her shots and is very gentle. Her two all-black kittens need socialiazation. The staff has been working very hard with them to socialize them and help them become good with people.

Rose Louise Arrives

Jeanne and Doug Dowling of Vineyard Haven are pleased to announce the births of their newest grandchildren.

Their daughter Kate and her husband, David Bragg, of Jamaica Plain, became parents for the first time on February 20 when Rose Louise Bragg was born at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. Rosie weighed six and a half pounds. Her paternal grandparents are Anita and Charles Bragg of Savannah, Georgia.

Salutations, Schnyeder

Erica Oliveira and Geraldo Oliveira of Vineyard Haven announce the birth of a son, Schnyeder Klaydson Assis deOliveira, born on July 7, 2009, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Schnyeder weighed nine pounds, seven ounces at birth.

Hello, Emma

Carrie Blair Waltersdorf and Kurt Waltersdorf of West Tisbury announce the birth of a daughter, Emma Blair Waltersdorf, born on June 30, 2009, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Emma weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces at birth.

Hello, Rhys

Tina Floyd and Colin Floyd of Edgartown announce the birth of a daughter, Rhys Eleanore Floyd, born on June 8, 2009, at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Rhys is welcomed by brother Drew and sisters Matti and Isabelle.
