Dean’s List

Benjamin Stiller, of Vineyard Haven, has been named to second honors on the Clark University dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester.

The Tisbury School has announced its awards for the 2008-2009 school year.

The Jeffrey T. Goodale Memorial Award was given to Evan Kristal, grade five; the Dorothy Larkosh Roberts Award to Aaron Teves, grade six; the Rose Anthony Award for Achievement in Literary Arts to Barra Peak, grade seven.

Welcome Caroline

Aimee Blood and Paul Cotton of West Tisbury announce the birth of a daughter, Caroline Nicole Cotton, born on July 28, 2009, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Caroline weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces at birth.

Endicott Dean’s List

David L. Bouck of West Tisbury and Allison L. Silva of Vineyard Haven were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester at Endicott College.

David Stanwood, an Island piano tuner and inventor who lives at Lambert’s Cove in West Tisbury, recently attended and lectured at the Annual Institute of the Piano Technicians Guild, held this year in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Announcing Eben

Rebecca and Eamonn Solway of West Tisbury announce the birth of a son, Eben Davis Solway, born on July 21, 2009, at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Eben weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces at birth. Big sister Lyla welcomed him home.
