Next month a group of Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter high school students will embark on a 10-day voyage to Paris, France, to attend one of the largest climate events of this decade, the United Nations 21st Conference of the Parties (COP21).

Restaurateurs, home cooks and brave foodies gathered together Sunday for the sixth annual Local Wild Food Challenge.

This weekend Featherstone celebrates its 12th chocolate festival with tasty chocolate concoctions made by Island bakers, artists and chocolate lovers.

The Wild Food Challenge, now in its sixth year on the Island, is Sunday, Oct. 11, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Portuguese-American Club in Oak Bluffs.

The annual fall festival that embraces all things wine and all things delicious returns to the Vineyard on Thursday, Oct. 15 through Sunday Oct. 18.

Classes are being offered this fall by Kate Warner of the Vineyard Bread Project that introduce how to make artisan bread at home.
