Oak Bluffs selectmen voted Tuesday night to accept a contract with Robert Whritenour for the position of interim town administrator.

The town has been negotiating with Mr. Whritenour, the former Falmouth town manager, since the board of selectmen named him to the temporary post on August 9. Oak Bluffs has been without an administrator since Michael Dutton’s resignation, which was effective July 31.

Zach Graves, of Boston, has been named the winner of the Vineyard Gazette’s $1,000 Web Video Contest, for his short film. Entries were judged by the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival, which will be showing the winning video Wednesday night in Chilmark as its Summer Film Festival concludes.

A private consultant hired by the Edgartown Library Foundation is threatening legal action for copyright infringement over a phrase used to promote an annual community fund-raiser for the town public library.

Danielle Pendergraft claims her public relations company, Holiday Public Relations, owns the rights to the slogan, “Frankly, We Love Our Library.”

The annual event is held on Labor Day at the Katama Airport, where the community is invited to come and eat frankfurters and raise money for the town library.

After 10 years of planning and debate this week the public will have what may be their final say on the proposed roundabout in Oak Bluffs. On Thursday the Martha’s Vineyard Commission will hold a hearing at 7:15 p.m. at the high school cafeteria, not far from the controversial intersection where the Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road meets Barnes Road.
