Cycle MV Ride

How are the thighs feeling? Good or really, really, really good. If in the second category, the Island has just the event for you this Saturday, Oct. 1. Hop on a bike and ride 100 kilometers for charity. For those of the wimpy sort there is also a 50K race.

Vineyard teams closed out the month of September with several tough competitions in the Eastern Athletic Conference; league rival Bishop Feehan proved a particularly formidable opponent. Football, both soccer teams and field hockey play on home turf this week; be sure to come out and support the Vineyarders!

Jordan Wallace, son of Mark and Patricia Wallace of Oak Bluffs, graduate of Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School.

John Wadleigh, son of Kimberly Morris-Wadleigh and Ralph Wadleigh of Vineyard Haven, graduate of Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School.

Hello Hollis

Erin and Zeb Tilton of Vineyard Haven announce the birth of a son, Hollis Alden Tilton, born on Sept. 22, 2011, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Hollis weighed 6 pounds, 13.5 ounces at birth. He is welcomed by his brother, Wyatt Tilton.
