Integrated Health Center of Vineyard Haven welcomes back Dr. Iris Gold, acupuncturist and natural medicine doctor. Using acupuncture, herbs, nutritional supplements and bio-identical hormone replacement, Dr. Gold specializes in women’s health issues, especially menopause and fertility. This summer she will be introducing a very effective and rapid weight management program that she has been using in her practice in California. She also extensively treats all types of pain problems, adrenal imbalances, headaches and fatigue.

Chi Gung

Chi Gung classes will be held with instructor Daisy Lifton at the Tisbury Senior Center on Mondays at 9 a.m. All are welcome to attend. Classes are $5 or $4 each, if paid in full for the month prior to the first class. Call 508-696-4205 to register; ask for Sandy.

Health Reform Forum

What does health care reform mean for you?

Martha’s Vineyard Community Services will present a community briefing on the new health care legislation on June 25 at 3:30 p.m. at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School.

A panel discussion will be moderated by Victor Capoccia, program director for Closing the Addiction Treatment Gap, Open Society Institute. The panel will include:

Memory Screenings

Memory screenings will be offered on Friday, June 25, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Edgartown Council on Aging at 10 Daggett street in Edgartown. There is no charge.

These free screenings entail a brief cognitive test for people who do not have a prior diagnosis of dementia. The goal is to identify people with potential problems who may need more extensive evaluation.
