For nearly a decade, the town of Tisbury has served as the reluctant steward of a 45-foot sailboat, rotting behind the Department of Public Works building and deserted by an owner who has been almost impossible to track down.
The town has been unable to move or destroy the boat, but that may soon change.

Alessandra Marisa Boniface, daughter of Paul and Marisa Boniface of Essex Fells, N.J., and Edgartown, was married to James Michael Hagerty, son of Robert Hagerty and Barry Nevin of Edgartown, on Saturday, Sept. 10, at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Edgartown.

Martina and Dana Thonton of Edgartown announce the birth of a son, James Leif Thonton, born on Dec. 6, 2011, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. James weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces at birth. James joins big brother William.
Hello Rye
Christine Conley and Matt Coffey of West Tisbury announce the birth of a son, Rye James Conley Coffey, born on Dec. 6, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Rye weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces at birth. Rye joins big sister Ada Maeve.
