Calling All Artists
Preparations have begun for this year’s Annual Friends of Family Planning Art Show Benefit, which is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend from May 23 to 25. The event gala on May 22 is known to be a great showcase for new work of all kinds.
Show organizers are inviting new artists to participate. Paintings, all media and furniture, pottery, three-dimensional art, jewelry and weaving are encouraged.
Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School will sponsor an Italian Dinner Night in the culinary arts dining room from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 10. The dinner will benefit the school store student staff field trip to Orlando, Fla.
It’s that time of year. The American Cancer Society campaign to raise funds through the sale of daffodils is up and running. Dorothy Bangs and her volunteers will be around soon to take orders from many Island businesses and schools.
If you are a business we’ve missed over the years, please help us out and call Debbie Magnuson at 508-693-0081, or Susie Wallo at 508-776-6050.
