Robin Kirk has been named the principal and chief executive officer of Scout Hotel & Resort Management. Scout operates Harbor View Hotel and the Kelley House.

Visitors to the Island may soon have another technology at their fingertips. William Gately of Vine Rentals came before the Tisbury selectmen Tuesday to propose an app-based car rental service, to launch this summer.

Vineyard Medical Care announced this week that three familiar physicians have joined the Vineyard Haven walk-in clinic, as laboratory services and research work continue to expand.

The family of the late Pat Gregory completed purchase of the building in a $1.4 million transaction late last month. The sale insures that Edu Comp, the office supply and computer store founded by Mr. Gregory, will remain in the brick building at the head of Main street.

Edgartown selectmen rejected a request from Bad Martha’s to extend hours for the Upper Main Street brewery and tasting room after a short public hearing during their regular Monday meeting.
