When I read recently in the New York Times about the possibility of Scotland exiting the United Kingdom, I was confused. I had no idea Great Britain had nationality problems.

Island places of worship warm up the faith-filled season with special events this weekend.

Sense of Wonder Creations is holding its fourth annual holiday benefit craft workshops. The beneficiary this year is Sister Flora’s Orphanage on Ile A Vache, Haiti.

The workshops take place Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be felt ornaments and shape making, wooden and cardboard Boxes to decorate, mod podge creations, paint glass plates, paint pottery bowls, wreaths, stuffed animals, tea towels and much more.
