Over 20 artists participated in the Bass in the Grass this year, each one putting their particular creative spin on a wood block shaped like a fish.
Over 30 artists, sponsored by Island businesses, created fish-inspired pieces for Bass in the Grass, the annual derby celebration of creativity.
While Derby fishermen weighed in their catches at the Edgartown weigh station this week, 33 colorful fish arrived by land for the fifth annual Bass in the Grass fundraiser.
They may be fish out of water, but this year’s Bass in the Grass auction is helping to raise thousands of dollars for scholarships, artists and the Edgartown Board of Trade.
