It's been years since the Vineyard had a bowling alley, and Islanders are eagerly anticipating the opening of The Barn, Bowl and Bistro, a new bowling alley and restaurant in Oak Bluffs. Teams are forming.
What to do in the off-season? The Vineyard Playhouse, which opened its doors again this summer to a refurbished building and stage, seems to have answered the question — poetry, film and song.

There are more than books at the West Tisbury library. Now there’s a seed library, too. This fall a collaboration between the library, Island Grown Schools and the Farm Institute has led to an upcoming seed processing workshop.
