Snoopy and Friends

The Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School theatre arts students will perform the fabulously funny You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown in their winter musical which opens next week at the Performing Arts Center. The show opens Thursday, Feb. 12 and runs through Saturday, Feb. 14. Curtain times are 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday. The show is double cast, so come twice. Tickets are $7 for students and seniors and $10 for adults.

Theatre Tryouts

This Sunday, Jan. 25, the Island Theatre Workshop, Inc. is holding tryouts for two programs of one-act plays to run at the end of March. Artistic director Lee Fierro and board member Kevin Ryan will be joined by Leslie J. Stark to direct the five plays. The tryouts will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Katharine Cornell Theatre. Phyllis Vecchia will be holding a winter creative drama workshop for four-and-a-half to ten-year-olds at the Oak Bluffs School. Classes will be held on Thursday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. beginning on Thursday Jan. 22 and continuing until March 19.

Good Luck Juliet Benoit

West Tisbury native Juliet Lynn Benoit is in Orlando Florida this week to compete in the world-famous Millie Lewis Actors, Models and Talent Competition, which runs from Dec. 30 to Jan. 4. Ms. Benoit was one of only 24 performers selected to participate in the competition out of an audition pool of 400.
