The Martha’s Vineyard Commission is taking an important step to address the Island’s growth crisis through a new carrying capacity study.

For nearly two years, my commute to work consisted of a short walk down Edgartown’s streets to the Vineyard Gazette office.

Do you value living where you know that your home, backyard,and neighborhood can be free of noise, lights, dust, heavy trucks and fumes?

I support Article 87 — Large Events in Residential Neighborhoods — that is scheduled for vote at town meeting on April 9.

I note with sadness the passing of Cong. Bill Delahunt. He was a true friend of Vineyard.
