We would like to commend Robert Skydell for his opinion piece in the Sept. 19 Gazette.

The Living Local Harvest Festival this year excludes a significant portion of the community, people who would want to be part of the activities.

I was stunned by the abject disregard by the Oak Bluffs water district and their superintendent Kevin Johnson regarding fluoride in the public water supply.

On Oct. 12, Le Grenier will close. Gone will be the exquisite French cuisine that many of us have enjoyed for decades.

I took four pieces of mail to the Oak Bluffs post office. They were sent on their way by Paul and his friendly, helpful postal people.
