After weeks of foraging, hunting and clamming, on Sunday Vineyard chefs from both amateur and professional ranks made good on their charge to serve up the wildest food the Vineyard has to offer.

The Martha’s Vineyard Savings Bank Charitable Fund with the Permanent Endowment for Martha’s Vineyard has awarded $11,000 in grants to eight community groups this fall.
Organizations receiving grants were Adult and Community Education of Martha’s Vineyard, Aquinnah Cultural Center, Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary, Friends of Edgartown Council on Aging, Island Elderly Housing, Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Music Society, Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival and YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard.
In the last weeks of the Martha’s Vineyard Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby, Steve Purcell got phone calls from around the Vineyard — and around the country. “They asked me, where was I?” Mr. Purcell said.

Martha’s Vineyard Community Services has added five new members to its board of directors, the Island’s oldest social service agency announced this week.
