The Feast of the Holy Ghost parade stepped off from the Oak Bluffs Steamship Authority terminal on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. under a sweltering sun. It was part of the annual two-day Portuguese festival celebrating history, food, music and giving back to the community.

Leslie J. Stark, advertising man, actor, playwright, proofreader, raconteur extraordinaire and beacon of hope for those with cancer died on Friday, July 17. There will be a memorial service at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center.
