When I heard about the People’s Climate March in New York city, I just had to go. Now I am a grandmother. I needed to do this for my five grandkids.
We were expecting over 100,000 demonstrators. The last estimate is that 400,000 people joined the People’s Climate March on Sunday, Sept. 21, in New York city, and all because of our shared concern about climate change.
Neither the county commission nor the airport commission seem to understand their inter-relationship or their independence.
I am lucky to have friends like Paul and Maggie Bangs who jumped at the chance to take my dad out last Sunday on Ralph Packer’s tug Sirius in honor of his 86th birthday.
