Ms. Murphy Graduates

Jennifer Murphy, daughter of James and Susan Murphy of Vineyard Haven, graduated from Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y. with a degree in buisness administration this past May. Jennifer particpated in varsity field hocky, lacrosse and the student-athlete advisory committee and graduated Cum Laude.

Army Pvt. Timothy M. Silvia has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission and received instruction and training exercises in drill and ceremonies, Army history, core values and traditions, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, rifle marksmanship, weapons use, map reading and land navigation, foot marches, armed and unarmed combat, and field maneuvers and tactics.

Welcome Colten

Rebecca MacLeod and Paul Davidson of West Tisbury announce the birth of a son, Colten Michael Davidson, born on August 3, 2010, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Colten joins big sister Nyssa Duarte and weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces at birth.

Christine Conley and Matt Coffey of West Tisbury announce the birth of a daughter, Ada Maeve Conley Coffey, born on July 25, 2010, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Ada weighed 6 pounds at birth.
