Social networking sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube, have become household terms. And everybody seems to have their own blog these days. But despite the fact that everyone from age one to 100 seems to have joined the digital revolution, using it to effectively promote products and businesses is not yet common knowledge.

Harbor Masters Gam

The Cape and Islands Harbor Masters Association held its annual Black Dog banquet on the Vineyard on Monday evening. Vineyard Haven harbor master Jay Wilbur hosted the dinner at the tavern which included a short business meeting.

More than 20 harbor masters and their friends came for the chowder and cod and steak dinner. Some flew in, some came by ferry and others came in private boats. Island harbor masters Dennis Jason from Chilmark and Todd Alexander from Oak Bluffs attended.
