In Memory of Julia
Like leaves of fall, shells change in shape,
managing their change of fate.
Parts and pieces, seaweed strewn,
parade of beauty, stop to swoon.
Reeds of grass, like tufts of hair,
climbing toward the well-worn stair.
Tidal swim, when moon is full,
arms outstretched to catch the pull.
From piers we leap into the chop,
and beg this summer not stop.
Magic and Mystery

Not feeling it yet? Well, the folks at New Moon Magick located at 4 Chapman avenue in Oak Bluffs are. This Sunday, Sept. 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. they are holding a reading by Annette Blair, author of the Accidental Witch Trilogy and artist Diane Hayes, author of The Rift Healer.

Caveat emptor: If you watch this thoroughly engrossing film, you may very well recognize as-yet-undiagnosed symptoms of learning disabilities or other psychological variations in your own family.
