The Martha’s Vineyard Museum opened its largest exhibit yet on Saturday which dives deeply into the history of the movie Jaws to commemorate its 50th anniversary.

On Saturday at the Nobnocket Inn, Emily Texeira, the Vineyard Haven postmaster, presented Dale Stephanos with a plaque thanking him for his dedication to honoring one of the country’s most cherished icons.

The Martha's Vineyard Book Festival opens on August 1 with a talk from Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor in chief of The Atlantic, and Atlantic staff writer Ashley parker, a three-time Pulizter Prize winner.

Circuit Arts is joining a centuries old tradition next week with a rendition of the Iliad, an epic Greek poem that details the end of the Trojan War.
