A plea and sentencing proceeding for Trevor J. Medeiros, 21, was postponed Monday in Dukes County superior court because of concerns about prescription drugs he was given at the Edgartown house of correction. The Hon. Tina Page has rescheduled the hearing for Monday.

Mike G. Jean-Francois, 26, of Middleboro, Brandon F. Merkman, 32, of Sagamore and Quentin A. Phillip, 28, of Boston, were all indicted by a Dukes County grand jury on one count of trafficking oxycodone, 18 to 36 grams and one account of conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act. The spring session of Dukes County superior court began Monday.
The Edgartown selectmen have reconsidered granting a liquor license to Edgartown Books after learning they did not have the proper approval from other town boards. Last week, the board approved an all-alcohol license for the cafe behind the bookstore, but on Monday the decision was put on hold.
