The Eagle Has Landed, This Time in Edgartown

Noah Galley was carrying grain to the family barn when when he saw a large bird flying in short bursts across the property. He identified the bird as a juvenile bald eagle. The young bird has been rescued for possible rehabilitation by noted naturalist Gus Ben David.

 

 

 

More than 250 guests packed into the Agriculture Hall Thursday night to celebrate the opening of the 25th annual Friends of Family Planning Art Show. During the opening gala, artists mingled with the public and unveiled their work for all to see.

Traditions will be kept this Memorial Day weekend as the Vineyard honors veterans and celebrates the coming summer. As in years past, events begin Friday with students at the Tisbury and Edgartown schools marching to the sea to lay flowers in the water.
