A rolled ankle stood no chance of ruining perfection on Monday. The Martha’s Vineyard girls tennis team beat Carver High School 5-0 in the South district quarterfinals despite the absence of starting freshman Kelly Klaren.
Seven graduating seniors thanked parents, teachers, friends and mentors and said they were proud to be a part of the Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School.
Girls’ tennis continues their reign atop the MIAA’s Division III south district and begins playoffs on Monday. Boys' tennis advances to the second round as does girls' lacrosse, but boys' baseball and boys' lacrosse fell in their playoff openers.
