Six Martha’s Vineyard seniors will receive four-year college scholarships, the community fund announced this week. The awards total $700,000, and for the first time this year include a charter school graduate.

With a final vote expected soon on where to site a new Tisbury School, town residents will have a final chance to weigh in at a public forum tomorrow. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the school gymnasium.

At the West Tisbury School on Friday, students ate fresh fish and lobster, learned about the fish food chain and even posed with live fish as part of the Massachusetts Farm to School’s Harvest of the Month seafood celebration.

History is about the past, but that’s no reason it can’t live in the present moment too.
