Myers Brothers Play Che’s

Tonight longtime Island musicians Rob and Dave Myers will reunite for a special concert at Che’s Lounge in Vineyard Haven.

Doors open at 8 p.m.; there is a sliding scale donation for admission.

The two brothers, who performed on the Island together in the early 1990s in the alternative pop punk band the Inskirts, will perform material from their individual catalogues, as well as from their work together.

Voices will rise to the rafters of the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown, at the second Annual All Church Choir concert Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. Church choirs from all over the Island, including the Faith Community Singers, the Federated Church Choir, the Good Shepherd Parish Women’s Choir, the Grace Church Choir, and the United Methodist Choir, will come together for one night.

Caribbean Night Dance

Drag that summer wardrobe out from under the bed and get on your flip-flops, because this Saturday, Feb. 13, is Caribbean Night at the Chilmark Community Center from 6:30 to 11 p.m. The Smokin’ Flamingos will provide the music for the evening, while partygoers enjoy dancing, beer, wine and dessert. Raffles and auctions, both live and silent, add to the fun. Admission is $15, and all proceeds benefit the Chilmark School.

Guitar Poems at Che’s

Dan Waters, former West Tisbury poet laureate, guitarist, writer and all-around nice guy, will perform his guitar poems at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at Che’s Lounge in Vineyard Haven, a part of the ongoing Island Voices poetry series.
