Town officials said the Federal Emergency Management Agency grant, awarded to the town in 2022, may be rescinded, similar to the $90 million in federal grants the Trump Administration cancelled in Massachusetts communities earlier this month.

The long-planned project to re-engineer the East Chop bluff got a major boost with an announcement by the Federal Emergency Management Agency that it has awarded $10 million to the town.
