I never met my grandfather, Harris M. Crist. He passed away before I was born and yet he has been a constant part of my Vineyard life.
Since losing my dad, Ron Rappaport, unexpectedly in June, trips back to the Vineyard are both joyful and hard, full of love and full of grief.
I would like to thank the EMTs and rescue team who helped in my rescue at State Beach last Friday, Oct. 18. But above all I want to thank Robert (Bear) Harding, fellow kitesurfer/wing foiler/sailor who saved my life.
