Phyllis Marie Malatesta Smith died on April 17 at her home in Havenside, with her devoted daughter Kerin O’Brien and son-in-law Michael Duffey by her side. She was 93 years old.
After a long, hard fought battle with cancer, Trisha Spring died on May 23 at her home in Vineyard Haven with family by her side. She was 76.
There will be a celebration of life Jeffrey T. Spear on Friday, June 27 at 11 a.m. at the Cuttyhunk Methodist Church and Meeting House.
Benjamin L. Hall, of Edgartown, died on May 29 at the age of 90.

Alice Franklin died on May 24 surrounded by family in San Rafael, Calif. She was 99 years old.

Alice and her late husband, Ed Franklin, settled on the Vineyard in the early 80’s moving from Darien, Conn. Living in Vineyard Haven for over 40 years, Alice was known for her abundant kindness, huge heart and generosity.

William Howard Weeks Jr., of Southport, Conn. died on March 20, after a brief but valiant battle against cancer. He was 39 years old.
Elizabeth Ann Lassen Knight died at the age of 86 in her home, surrounded by her loving husband and five children on Monday, May 5 from a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Charles Francis Tucy III, 76, died on April 5, in Boston. He’s gone home to be with his beloved dog, Stanley.
David Sherwood Ashe, of Edgartown and Beverly Hills, Michigan, died due to complications of his type two diabetes in his Martha’s Vineyard home on May 11 with his beloved dog and best friend, Brady, by his side. He was 69.
Warren Joseph Combra, Sr., of Vernon, Conn., died on May 7, surrounded by his loving family. He was 82.
Warren was born on Oct. 3, 1942, in Oak Bluffs, to Joseph and Ruth Combra.
