At its annual meeting Saturday afternoon, the Island Housing Trust reported a year of growth from both a financial and housing development perspective. The keynote speaker was Joe Kriesberg of the Massachusetts Association of Community Development Corporations.

David Burstein, a 24-year-old author and documentary filmmaker, told his story to Vineyard youth at the YMCA Friday night as part of the Project Next speaker series. “We have never seen our world at its best, which makes us want to make it better,” the young scholar said.
