Edgartown and Oak Bluffs wrapped up their annual town meetings in a single night Tuesday, sometimes agreeable about spending and sometimes not. Voters in Tisbury and West Tisbury returned for a second night Wednesday.
Following a period of financial confusion, the Aquinnah selectmen this week accepted the resignations of the town accountant and treasurer. Kimberly Brown, who was hired last year, submitted her letter of resignation in March. Peter Graczykowski, the town treasurer and human resources director, announced a short time later that he would resign to take another job. Both were part-time positions.
Jodi Bailey was born and raised in Vineyard Haven but now lives a continent away from her Island roots. She’s a professional dog musher based out of Chatanika, Alaska, about an hour north of Fairbanks, and completed her fourth Iditarod race last month — a race of more than 1,000 miles.
