Detente Chef Leads Free Cooking Class

Learn to make beef bolognese and more with chef Kevin Crowell of Detente in free online classes through the West Tisbury Library.

Chef Kevin Crowell of Edgartown's Detente restaurant is starting a series of free Zoom cooking classes for teens and adults, according to an announcement from the West Tisbury Library.

Titled cooking Local with Kevin Crowell, the Wednesday night class begins Feb. 10 at 5:30 p.m. with a menu of beef bolognese with fettuccine and butternut squash raviolis with brown butter, sage and balsamic. All ingredients will be supplied by the library and available for curbside pick up the week of each class.

This class is limited to 10 sign-ups, one per household, but each meal will feed four people. To sign up, email [email protected]. There will be a separate sign up for each class date, so please specify what date(s) you would like to attend.

Mr. Crowell will conduct the class from the kitchen at Slough Farm in Edgartown, according to the library announcement.
