Farm & Garden
I guess this past week weather-wise is called a January thaw. We did not really experience it the last several years as December was unseasonably warm.
The weather, just like my family members, does not respond to criticism.
Another couple of days of beautiful snow. Now, it’s going to warm up, rain and refreeze. How I wish I had finished some outdoor tasks.
Because of the holiday, I’m writing on Sunday — several days before the paper hits the newsstands.
There is nothing quite like the first snow of the season. Even before I open my eyes there is a quiet and sense of well being.
Brrr! What a rude awakening a couple of mornings this past week. I spoke with my brother back home in Western Pennsylvania and whined about temperatures in the teens. He reported below zero, a foot of snow and proceeded to call me a wuzz.
