25 Years of Charity Golf
The 25th annual Martha’s Vineyard Boys’ and Girls’ Club fall golf tournament raised $8,000. The tournament was held at the Edgartown Golf Club on Saturday, Sept. 12, and included 22 teams of four golfers. Participants were treated to a cookout between the morning and afternoon double shotgun starts.
Twins Benefit
A benefit for the family of twins David and Jhonatan Souza, born months prematurely, was postponed from last weekend and now is set for Saturday, Sept. 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Grange Hall.
David suffers from multiple handicaps and is receiving regular medical treatment in Boston.
All are welcome to enjoy a potluck dinner with music and children’s games, and to make a donation if possible.

Cycle Martha’s Vineyard
Cycle Martha’s Vineyard is a scenic recreational Island ride on Saturday, Oct. 17. Both the 100-kilometer and the makes a circuit of the Island, traveling along the Atlantic Ocean, Nantucket Sound, rolling farmland and the State Forest. The 50-kilometer route also offers breathtaking views. The event benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of Martha’s Vineyard and other charities.
