Meadow Arrives

Madison Ibsen and Thomas Christopher, of Oak Bluffs, announce the birth of a daughter, Meadow Kay Christopher, born on July 27.

 

 

 

Writer Holly Nadler of Oak Bluffs is busily scribbling away at a sequel to her book Haunted Island: True Ghost Stories of Martha’s Vineyard, released by Down East Books in 1994, and now going into its ninth printing. The new book will be titled Vineyard Supernatural: True Ghost Stories from America’s Most Haunted Island, expected to go on sale in the fall of 2008.

Mr. Ivan Nikolov Sabev and Mrs. Margarita Doncheva Sabeva of Sofia, Republic of Bulgaria, are happy to announce the engagement of their beloved daughter Ivona Ivanova Sabeva, of Sofia and Edgartown, to Andrew Jason de Geofroy of Edgartown, son of Ms. Wendy Jones de Geofroy of Edgartown and Mr. Charles Antoine de Geofroy of Chilmark.

Ivona and Andrew will be married on Martha’s Vineyard in the spring.

Heather and Josh Kochin of Oak Bluffs announce the birth of a son, Beckett Michael Kochin, born on Nov. 20 at the Martha’s Vineyard Community Hospital. Beckett is also welcomed by grandparents Chip and Michelle Leonardi and Jack and Christie Shea.

Hello, Emily and Jane

Catherine J. Coogan and Geoghan E. Coogan of Vineyard Haven announce the birth of twin daughters, Emily Clare Coogan and Jane Catherine Coogan, on Nov. 16 at Martha’s Vineyard Community Hospital. Emily weighed 7 pounds. Jane weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces.

Church Annual Gift Sale

The First Congregational Church in West Tisbury invites the community to its Greens, Food, and Gift Sale on Saturday, Dec. 8 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Coffee, hot cider, and hot chocolate will be available early and a homemade soup luncheon will be served starting at 11:30 a.m.
