Dean’s List
Conor Boland, who was recently enrolled in the honors college at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, has been named to the college dean’s list for the fall semester. Conor is the son of Tim Boland and Laura Coit of West Tisbury.
Jennifer Reekie Engaged
Alan and Chele Reekie of West Tisbury announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer, to Johnathon Goeckel, the son of Hans Peter Goeckel and Judith Pfeiffer of Katama. Ms. Reekie, who is the granddaughter of the late John and Bonnie Meras of East Chop, is a graduate of the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School and Bentley University class of 2010. She was the supervisor last summer of the Oak Bluffs Marina.
Ethan Arrives
Anastasia Carter and Christopher Haley of Edgartown announce the birth of a son, Ethan John Haley, born on Feb. 28 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Ethan weighed 9 pounds, 6 ounces at birth, and joins sisters Angelina and Nicole.
Legal Eagle
Todd J. Araujo has joined the law office of Baxter, Bruce and Sullivan in Juneau, Alaska as an associate attorney.
Mr. Araujo has served as deputy director for the Office of Tribal Justice in the U.S. Department of Justice and as a staff attorney for the National Indian Gaming Commission. He was the first court prosecutor for the Pueblo of Laguna in New Mexico and served on the Wampanoag Tribe’s Judicial Task Force.
Graduate
Tara Reynolds of Edgartown recently graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Ms. Reynolds earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in illustration.
