It was a busy first week of winter sports as all six teams saw action this week against a variety of opponents.
Winter track has debuted this year as a brand new sport at the regional high school. The head coach for the winter track team is longtime track and cross-country coach Joe Schroeder, and the squad is fielding about 25 student-athletes for its first go-around.
As the fall sports season wraps up with the football team’s win over Nantucket, it’s time to look ahead to winter sports. Tryouts begin next week.
With many of the fall sports concluding last week, there was much space left for the remaining two teams to shine.
The week of Halloween proved to be action-packed with great contests across the board for Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School athletes.
It was a busy week of travel and league competition for the Vineyarders, as everyone except the girls’ soccer team suited up to play this past week.
