The Martha's Vineyard Book Festival featured three days of conversations and interviews with 27 authors across many genres. It began with a conversation between comedian and late night host Seth Meyers and top tech journalist Kara Swisher.

The annual Charles Ogletree Public Forum Series on Thursday at Union Chapel in Oak Bluffs was also a moment to honor the founder of the series. Mr. Ogletree died the next day, on August 4.
