Moe (not his full name), Vineyard resident and recent first time father, snuck away from his lady friend Onya and their nonuplets for a little action in New York city on Valentine’s Day.

Abhik Mukherjee plays both the sitar and the surbahar, but only the sitar makes the traveling team for his trip to Martha's Vineyard on July 30. Which is good news for Mr. Mukherjee, since by all accounts traveling with even one of the instruments adds a few degrees of difficulty to any trip.

A friend’s son recently started playing Little League and my friend was philosophically relaying the fact that his son was playing right field. There was disappointment in his voice. I said that I had heard over the years right field had actually become less the place to hide a poor player and more the place to put a kid with a strong arm, a la Roberto Clemente. I’m not sure where I had heard this.
