Veterans and onlookers gathered in Ocean Park Wednesday morning under gray skies and warm temperatures for a ceremony in honor of Veterans Day.

Citing concerns over the rising number of coronavirus cases on the Vineyard, the Aquinnah selectmen followed in the footsteps of Oak Bluffs Tuesday, voting to cancel their Saturday special town meeting.

The Oak Bluffs special town meeting scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14 has been postponed as a result of the recent uptick in cases of coronavirus on the Island.

During the course of four hours on Saturday, 431 flu vaccines were administered at a clinic organized by the Island boards of health, Island Health Care and Martha’s Vineyard Hospital.
