A thin crescent moon appears low in the southwestern sky, right next to the bright star Antares, in the zodiacal constellation Scorpius.

There is a chance you might get a view of a faint comet, now under the Big Dipper, in the northeastern sky early in the morning, before dawn. 

With the season advancing, the night sky offers us a great chance to get an excellent early evening view of the Milky Way.

Next Monday's full moon, Harvest Moon, will appear closer to us than usual.

The ringed planet Saturn is now poised for our viewing in the nights ahead.
