Miss Julia Mitchell Ravenscroft, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Kent Ravenscroft of Edgartown and Paris, France, and Jesse David Davis, son of Kathy Miller of Sonoma, Calif., and Jack Davis of Darien, Conn., were married on Saturday, Sept. 28 on Lighthouse Beach in Edgartown.
Kimberlie Lynch and Steven Schwartz of Durango, Colo., are pleased to announce their marriage on Monday, July 22 during a full moon evening in Vineyard Haven.
Julie Olson and Laine Scott of Edgartown were married in a small ceremony in an Edgartown park off Main street on Sept. 30. The bride is the farm manager at the Farm Institute in Katama and the groom works at the Grey Barn Farm and Dairy in Chilmark. Julie is the daughter of Joanne and David Olson of Dennis, and Laine is the son of Diane and David LaMonica of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Richmond Scott of Santa Cruz, Calif.
When Lucy Durr was a high school junior in Montgomery, Ala., her older first cousin, John, invited her to a party. There John introduced Lucy to his good friend Sheldon Hackney, a college junior.
The day was all balmy breeze and blue-sky perfect, and Flat Point Farm and Tisbury Great Pond looked like a canvas painted by Ray Ellis. Island native Ryan Begley, son of Kevin and Patty and brother of Keegan, was about to marry longtime seasonal resident Adriana Stimola, daughter of Michael and Rosemary and sister of Aubrey Stimola Ryan. And as natural as wedding rings and heartfelt declarations, the Vineyard spirit infiltrated the ceremony.
Officiate Dr. Bette Kerr (a longtime friend and associate of the Stimolas from New York) welcomed everyone.
Miss Kelly Leah MacDougal and Mr. Steven Blackwell Jones were united in marriage on Saturday, April 6, at Christ Church Cathedral in Houston, Tex. The double ring ceremony was co-officiated by the Rev. Luchy Littlejohn and the Rev. Glenice Robinson-Como. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a seated dinner and dance at The Woodlands Resort. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Woodlands TPC Country Club.
