When it comes to deciding whether to finance a multi-million dollar new school project, Tisbury selectmen are leaving it up to the town.

New shellfish regulations and strained tempers topped a three-hour Tisbury selectmen’s meeting Tuesday that had a little bit of everything. It ended with a fire scare in the town hall that drew a ladder truck and two fire engines.

The Massachusetts School Building Authority officially approved plans for the new Tisbury school last week.
