Last day of school bells rang at elementary schools all over the Island Wednesday marking the official first day of summer vacation.
The school building committee last week picked a conceptual design for a new school with a two-story classroom wing and a complete renovation of the original 1959 building and its 1980s addition.
The Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School graduating class of 2025 was welcomed to the Tabernacle on Sunday by family, friends and the wider Island community for the regional high school’s 66th commencement exercises.
A red carpet was rolled out on the Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School grounds Saturday afternoon to celebrate its two graduating seniors: Morgan Caruso and Quinn Floyd.
Graduating seniors were presented with over $1.2 million in scholarships from Island-wide organizations Friday evening during Class Night. The community also gave away $1,227,974 in post-grad scholarships.
When describing the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School class of 2025 one word immediately comes to mind for class advisors Erin Slossberg and Nell Coogan: resilience.
