Last year over 300 fans packed the ice arena for the first ever Guns and Hoses event, which pitted local police against local firefighters in an icy battle for hockey bragging rights.
A year and seven months after taking the job, the new general manager of the Martha’s Vineyard Ice Arena has resigned. Peter Lambos said he will leave in April.
The new Martha’s Vineyard Arena is now officially open. Saturday saw a formal ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by an open skate for all.
The Martha’s Vineyard Ice Arena has been open for a few months now, following extensive renovations over the summer.
College hockey is coming to the Vineyard this weekend, on Friday and Saturday.
Start the year off by gliding into a skate-a-thon celebration at the ice arena Monday, Jan. 1 from noon to 1:30 p.m.
