The eclectic pet store nestled in the woods off State Road in West Tisbury and home to all manner of creatures, is closing Dec. 31.

Police are investigating a series of thefts Wednesday at up-Island businesses, including several farm stands. Police said money and cash registers were taken from Little Leona’s Pets and Supplies and Fiddlehead Farm. Money was also taken from honor-system farm stands in Chilmark.

Down a dirt road in West Tisbury is a magical place where bunnies are friends with miniature horses, fish swimming in the tanks arrive on boats and a White’s tree frog named Large Marge is the unofficial mascot.
